It's downright amazing that this has come up half a dozen times in the past two weeks and people still ask about it.

You probably have an hub bearing that needs replacing or a wheel speed sensor gone bad, which requires a hub replacement.

Worst case is the ECBM (abs module)

I had this happen to my 03 a few years ago. i would check all of the wires before dropping money into a new hub. The wires on mine were brittle and broke causing the problem that you are having. Take the front wheels off and the find the sensor in each hub and follow the wires to see if either side is broke. if the wires are broke that is an easy fix. Call your local GM dealer and tell them what you need. I think it cost me around $60 for the passanger side wiring harness. All you need to do is splice the new wires together where the wires were broke and shrink wrap the splice junction. The harness came with shrink wrap. If the problem is not this then it probably the above statement. If i had the garage i would take some pics. I am sure sombeody in here could explain it better than i can. Clear as mud, right?

Go to the brakes section of this forum. There are a few of us running this problem down right now. You may gain some wisdom from those threads. I know I have. That is why I have a EBTCM sittting next to me at work right now.

You mean best case. EBCM is way easier to do than a bearing and close in price.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

Close in price? My EBCM is out, dealership wants 1k for a new one. F that.
Rock auto was 500 or 600 I believe for a new one. A used one would be. Cheaper of course or getting rebuilt (if possible). And an assembly is 80-200.

    Rebuild > New
They're faulty from the factory, so a new one is not a fix. Rebuilders solder in extra parts to make the EBCM bulletproof. So, yeah, you're looking at $175 tops.
