Thread: IC and Coil bracket from Bonneville

whos running a H body coil bracket for IC clearence? i have searched and couldnt find what year car you get that part from?

I just ran some washers as spacers when I had mine.

Put a couple of nuts at the top between the ICM and bracket, brings the ICM up enough for belt clearance.

doesnt it look kinda hacked up that way?

anyone have a picture of this?, the whole one dog bone mount kinda looks cool to me still

bill if i use the H body bracket do i need to run a solid motor mount?

I would. The h bodies have an extra lower mount to keep the engine in place.

the yards by my want 90 to 150$ for just the bracket, is that too much?

What's car-part.com selling it for? Or Rockauto?

Nah.. Have you tried going to your local yard? I have you pull it's here and the prices are usually much better.

ill keep calling around, the nearest one to me isnt one where you pull the part

you will need to run an l36/l26 passenger side bracket if you want to keep that side of the motor from rocking. it requires you to drill and tap your head.

your other option is get a belt wrap kit, smoothflowpulleys sells a nice one, its $140 so thats in the price range of the coil bracket.

I'm pretty sure I have one laying around that I could sell. Won't be until the weekend that I could promise I can check but PM me if you're interested.
