    what is the purpose of getting rid of the balance shaft? i saw that zzp crate motor doesnt have a balance shaft.

    1997 GTP . repainted in jet black with blue pearl. rebuilt motor
    with vs cam ported heads and blower.

    Nope. The purpose of deleting it, is for extra clearance when running a double roller timing chain. Leave it alone if you are sticking with the stock chain.
